CBC: Author C.B. Forrest on meth & murder

There’s no shortage of drugs in C.B. Forrest’s latest crime novel The Devil’s Dust. The one that everyone in the book is most concerned about is crystal meth — and the effect it’s having on one mining town.

But there’s also the businessman offering a joint to teens in an arcade, while the arcade owner looks the other way…the owner of  the local pharmacy, counting out his pills on the table methodically, and inspiring one character to say, “If the drug business fails, that guy could always double as an undertaker”…And then, there’s retired detective Charlie McKelvey himself, back again for his third time starring in Forrest’s books, and no stranger to a few drugs himself.

Ahead of his book’s Ottawa launch tonight, C.B. Forrest joined us in studio.
